Tour Details

Guided tours occur every 2 hours, starting at 10 AM, 12 PM, and 2 PM, except on Sundays. Sunday tours are at 12 PM and 2 PM.

All tours have a maximum capacity of 8 guests at a time to ensure the best experience.

Tours sell out fast, so plan ahead! Don’t give up if you are unable to schedule your tour. Call us at 970-235-0062 and our staff will do everything we can to accommodate you and your group.

Private tours outside of normal operating hours can be scheduled by calling 970-235-0062, 4 minimum tickets are required for private tours outside of normal business hours. Our staff cannot guarantee availability but we will do everything we can to accommodate you and your group.

Free Admission

General admission is free every day for visitors 12 and under. Advance registration for youth is encouraged.

Discount Opportunities

Discounted admission is available for seniors (65 and over), veterans, active-duty military, and members of Native American tribes.

Stanley Home Museum and Education Center

415 W Wonderview Ave. Estes Park, CO 80517

Located just a short drive from the heart of downtown Estes Park, the Stanley Home Museum is conveniently situated for visitors.

To reach the museum, start from downtown Estes Park and head north towards the historic Stanley Hotel.

From the Stanley Hotel, continue for approximately 2 minutes west, along Wonderview Avenue.

Proceed straight through the roundabout. The Stanley Home Museum will be located on the right side.

Parking

Plan to arrive 5 minutes early for your tour and park in the lower visitor lot. The tour begins in the building on the east side of the museum.

Handicap parking is located at the top of the hill, on the east side of the museum.

Yes, the Stanley Home Museum is located at 415 W Wonderview Ave., approximately one mile away from the Stanley Hotel. 

Yes, there is parking at the top of the hill, next to the museum entrance. The entrance to the museum is equipped with a ramp. The first floor is fully accessible. At this time, the second floor is not. For guests who are unable to use the stairs, your guide will narrate the upstairs and provide photographs of all rooms.

You can purchase a ticket to tour the Stanley Home here. Tours are scheduled daily and a max occupancy of 8 guests. We recommend scheduling your tour at least 24 hours in advance.

Tickets are non-refundable. However, we are happy to schedule a tour for you another time.

Photographs are allowed and encouraged. Videos are not allowed. 

The tour last approximately 1.5 hours, depending on the size of the group and the number of questions. 

Yes, we have a small gift shop with Stanley Home Museum items available for purchase. 

The museum is fully staffed from April 1 – December 31. There is no staff onsite during the winter season from Jan 1 – March 31. However, tours are still available by request for parties of 4 or more. Call 970-235-0062 to schedule your tour.

We offer tours every two hours, starting at the top of the hour. Tours are private for each party
