The Stanley Home Museum Presents:
Buy a Baluster

To keep the Stanleys’ story alive, we must first safeguard the house that holds its story. This remarkable wood-frame home requires funding for its constant care. Great news: thanks to a generous History Colorado grant and our many amazing donors, we have replaced the roof shingles and restored the sweeping porch. But there’s more to do, and here’s where you can help.

Surrounding the Stanley Home are 256 elegant balusters (vertical posts commonly
known as spindles), 14 newel posts (rectangular posts anchoring the balusters), and 14 columns; all of these pieces are handcrafted. Each one is a piece of art and an essential part of the structure. Preserving them safeguards the house and its stories.

You can help protect this landmark through the “Buy a Baluster” program. Your contribution conserves the Stanley Home history and ensures we can keep offering inspiring tours, lively programs, and memorable events. The dollars raised through this program will be used as matching funds when applying for preservation and restoration grants.

As a lasting thank you, your name and the column, newel post, and/or baluster number(s) will be recognized on a permanent plaque inside the Stanley Home Museum & Education Center.

The link will take you to select which architectural feature you would like to sponsor. We are all incredibly grateful for your support.
